Summer Break - give and take

After hard day of work we dream of clear blue skies, warmth of the summer breeze, closeness of the sea and lovely bunch of people surrounding us. There is a clear sense of achievement and the fact that we have deserved it call us to raise a glass for those that did not survive...
...strangely enough, I am still one of those that has the obligation of appearing at work everyday and staying there, since I still have things to do. Unbelievable as it may seem, I am not alone. Time to time you hear the colleague passing by and sighing at the fact that Brussels weather is treating us so rudely...
A friend mentioned today how strange it is to be in this little continent where you have people suffering from absolutely opposite dissasterous weather conditions: heat wave that kills in Central and Eastern Europe, floods in Britain and Germany, god knows what in Belgium and particularly Brussels...indeed it is strange, but then Summer Break is what you make of it... I do belive that one needs to put things in the perspective and make the best out of every ray of light, spell of sunshine and of course a great company of friends...
